3D Images Projected during Concert
First Introduction by Kyoto Symphony Orchestra6 April 2015 - Local topics"The Spring Concert" performed by Kyoto Symphony Orchestra was held at the Kyoto Concert Hall in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, on April 5. "Projection Mapping," or technology projecting three-dimensional images inside the hall, was introduced for the first time, and the audience enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere with a fusion of images and music.
This concert has been held since 2009 in order for residents who are starting a new life in Kyoto in the spring to enjoy classical music at a reasonable price and feel close to it. In this Projection Mapping, colorful images were projected over the pipe organ against the wall, on the ceiling, etc.
Images such as waves and fireworks were projected one after the other to suit the atmosphere of each piece of music, while the audience of approximately 1,500 people gazed on intently. A housewife from Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, said, "The images were very beautiful, so I enjoyed the performance visually as well."
