Keihan Electric Railway plans to begin the full remodeling of the lower part of Kyoto Tower from the spring of 2018. Yoshifumi Kato, Keihan's CEO and COO, attended the opening ceremony for the information center and said, "The building is still not so easy to enter, nor has it become the face of Kyoto yet, but in the future I would like to make it a spacious building with an arch that draws more people, like the Arc de Triomphe in Paris."
