An interactive attraction where you must break through eight traps, called "Laser Mission Dasshutsu no Shiro," or laser mission to escape from a castle, is appearing at Toei Kyoto Studio Park in Ukyo Ward, Kyoto, from March 19. The attraction includes a challenging stage with a time limit, and the studio park is promoting it, saying, "We want visitors to have a fun time with their family or a group."
The stage for the attraction is set as "a magic castle commanded by the feudal warlord Nobunaga Oda." Some traps await visitors. One is "Mogura Tsuro," or underground tunnels which you must slip through like a mole, and another is "Genkaku-no-Ma," or a hallucinatory room where three-dimensional images are projected on its floor.
The final trap is "Laser-no-Ma," where you need to push the buttons on the walls, evading the laser beams spread all over the room. Each player is allotted 1,000 starting points. Every time you touch a laser beam, your points are reduced. There is a 40 second time limit. In accordance with your point total when you escape from the castle, you are certified as "Tatsujin," or an expert, "Jonin," or an upper grade, and other levels.
The attraction's admission fee is 500 yen for adults, 400 yen for children of elementary school age and younger. There is an additional fee for entering the studio park. For more information, call the studio park at 0570-064-349.(translated by Galileo, Inc.)
