Nintendo will release a smartphone game titled "Fire Emblem Heroes" on February 2. This will be Nintendo's third smartphone game, through which the company is introducing for the first time a charging system called "Gacha," or a fee-based electronic lottery, to pay the fee for obtaining items and other services.

This is a smartphone version of a popular game series, where characters such as swordsmen, magicians and others, battle their enemies to save the world. Downloading the app will be free, but there are fees to obtain items to attract assistant characters. To prevent high charges, there will be an upper-limit of 12,000 yen per month for minors. The game will be available on Apple's iPhone and smartphones using Google's operating system "Android," both U.S. based companies.

"Super Mario Run" for Android to be released in March

Additionally, the popular game "Super Mario Run," which started its distribution for iPhone simultaneously in 150 countries worldwide at the end of last year, will be released for Android in March.

Moreover, the latest style game machine "Nintendo Switch," which will go on sale in March, will be shown at the exhibition "Next-Generation World Hobby Fair," which will be sponsored by its executive committee and held at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Osaka City on February 5. It can be experienced at the venue with no admission fee.
