Eyeball jelly and brain mousse. How do the "most horrific" cakes taste? A restaurant at the Royal Oak Hotel Spa & Gardens is offering a "Horror sweets" cake set sold only from September 20 to Halloween.

The hotel is offering four varieties of western-style sweets, including fingers made of cookies, brains formed of meringue and others, which look terrifying, but taste good.

When they were considering the menu for the all-you-can-eat cake buffet in October, a female pastry chef proposed an eyeball jelly. Even hotel staff were frightened, saying "These sweets are so real that children will cry." So, other sweets were added and it was decided to be sold as a cake set for adults.

The cake sets will be available until October 31. A set of sweets including a drink costs 1,500 yen.
